BENEFITS OF WASTE HANDLING & MANAGEMENT

Waste management is the collection, transportation, processing, and disposal of waste materials. This waste can be hazardous or non-hazardous, and it can include solid waste, biological waste, radiological waste, and universal waste (e.g. bulbs, batteries, and electronic waste). EnviroServe has experience working with all types of waste. Our team has the skills, equipment, and licensure to take care of your waste disposal needs, including chemical waste disposal and other hazardous waste.

If you are working with chemicals or other hazardous materials, your organization is legally required to properly manage waste. Avoiding legal consequences isn’t the only reason waste management is a good idea. Here are some of the other benefits your business receives when you partner with EnviroServe in waste disposal.

PROTECT THE ENVIRONMENT

Working with a waste management company that looks for the most comprehensive means of waste disposal shows your local community that you care about them. Proper non-hazardous and hazardous waste disposal may reduce the amount of waste in landfills and can help keep air, water, and soil pollution to a minimum.

CONSERVE RESOURCES

Waste recycling and disposal helps reduce the consumption of raw materials and the amount of waste that needs to be treated and disposed of. Creative waste disposal methods as alternative fuel and waste-to-energy methods can also reduce energy consumption.

SAVE TIME

Leave your waste disposal needs and requirements to the experts so you have more time to focus on your core business objectives.

IMPROVE YOUR PUBLIC IMAGE

Corporate stewardship goes a long way. Companies that take an active stance on sustainability can receive positive publicity and a better reputation. Responsible hazardous waste disposal may improve the company’s image among consumers and shareholders.

OUR WASTE HANDLING & MANAGEMENT SERVICES

The EnviroServe team transports and disposes of more than five million pounds of liquid, sludge, and solid waste each week. We understand the legal regulations required for hazardous waste disposal and identify key chemical and physical properties to determine the most cost-efficient waste disposal methods. EnviroServe maintains 100+ state and federal permits.

We provide comprehensive documentation with our services, including:

  • Project outlines
  • Waste profiling, analysis, and characterization
  • Annual and biennial waste reporting
  • Site closure reporting
  • Manifesting, land ban restriction forms, and labeling
  • Photographic records of work performed
  • Closure reports
  • Bureau of Underground Storage Tank Regulations (BUSTR) reports

We provide the following waste management services across the U.S.:

WASTEWATER TREATMENT

Hazardous and non-hazardous waste treatment removes impurities from wastewater or sanitary waste. This helps protect groundwater aquifers and surface water from contamination.

WASTE TREATMENT & PROCESSING

EnviroServe owns and operates an FDEP-permitted waste solidification facility in Mulberry, Florida that processes non-hazardous solids, sludges, liquids, tars, and gels in both drum and bulk quantities.

Depending on the materials’ contaminates, we will process the waste and then dispose of it at an approved FDEP Class I landfill or through an FDEP-permitted wastewater treatment facility.

We also handle booms, filters, and other spill cleanup absorbents, contaminated PPE, and off-specification unused products. We also handle empty drums and containers for recycling.

CHEMICAL WASTE DISPOSAL

Hazardous chemical waste requires a unique treatment or destruction method Our environmental professionals will verify the most effective treatment is utilized for all your disposal needs. Hazardous chemicals must be stored in approved containers with appropriate labeling, and its disposal must be in accordance with EPA and local regulations. Hazardous chemicals/waste must also be handled and stored in designated areas and shipped within a specific time frame.

FACILITY CLEANUP & CLOSURES

Facility cleanups or closures often require specific transportation and disposal services. Our environmental consultants can perform a facility-wide walkthrough to identify hazardous wastes and develop a plan for proper storage, transportation, and disposal. Many states have specific cessation of operations regulations that require closure activities to be done within a specific timeframe.
