A train derailment resulted in approximately 25 crude oil tank cars catching fire. The scale of the fire and release posed significant environmental and operational risks, with immediate proximity to a major U.S. water source.

Services Provided:

  • Rapid on-site assessment and response. After one of our regular customers contacted us, our team arrived within hours of the incident.
  • Coordinated deployment of 40 vacuum trucks to offload and contain remaining crude oil from the tank cars, working in hazardous and high-temperature conditions.
  • Orchestrated logistics to ensure continuous movement and offloading of crude oil for 36 hours.
  • Provided emergency environmental remediation to prevent further release and environmental damage.

Results:

  • All rail cars were fully offloaded within 36 hours, minimizing risk of further leakage.
  • The main rail line was restored and reopened in 48 hours, averting significant railroad revenue loss.
  • No oil entered the water source due to effective containment and remediation.
