Situation: A major fire at a tire recycling facility led to over a million gallons of contaminated runoff impacting local waterways and neighboring properties. Cleanup was complicated by insurance company delays and close community/state scrutiny.

Services Provided: EnviroServe was called by one of its regular customers to provide full containment and remediation services, including removal of contaminated soil, water and runoff, site restoration and advocacy with insurance for client reimbursement. Onsite teams operated fleets of trucks, coordinated with local vendors for disposal, and remediated all environmental impacts. The EnviroServe team cut inches of material off the top of multiple acres, restored site grading and facilitated clearance samples and site compaction testing for a successful state agency approval.
Results: The multimillion-dollar project successfully returned the site and surrounding properties to a safe, “zero contamination” state. EnviroServe’s expertise in insurance negotiations minimized financial exposure for the client. The company built stronger operational processes for future insurance related projects.
